PTO

As Salaamu Alaikum Dear Noble Community,

I am honored to have the opportunity to introduce the PTO to our larger Noble community. A few years ago, Sr. Rehan Seyam and I approached Sr Amanny with the idea of wanting to start a parent/volunteer led organization to support the school community. We have been working with her and several other parents on ways to support and build the Noble community, both inside and outside the classroom.

Our main goal for the PTO this year is to hold more family fun activities, movie nights, game nights, etc. If you attended the session with Sh. Yasir Fahmy you may remember the conversation being centered on building community and its importance. That is where we need you, the parents.

We all struggle with work, school, and family time balance and understand the importance of cultivating strong Islam-Centered relationships for our children. It is exactly for this reason that I am asking for more involvement from you. Our seasoned parents have so much knowledge and experience to lend to the parents who are new to the school. Inversely, newer parents tend to bring a fresh outlook to our school and new ideas. We need all of you. The more parents involved the easier it becomes to bear the load.

So, how can you participate? There are several ways you can be involved:

  • Attend our meetings! In order to help you plan here is our upcoming schedule for meetings. We will be alternating a.m. and p.m. meetings monthly.
    • January 9 at 8:15 a.m.
    • February 6 at 7:00 p.m.
    • March 5 at 8:15 a.m.
    • April 16 at 7:00 p.m.
    • May 14 at 8:15 a.m.
    • June 11 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Join our WhatsApp groups! All-important updates/discussions for our committees are included in the groups.
  • Support our efforts! This can be through donating money to our upcoming fundraisers or your time to help organize and run the events.
  • Attend our events and bring a friend! Parent involvement is so important to us, and we would really love to meet you all.

Lastly, Sr Rehan and I would like to thank all the parents who have attended our meetings this year and in past years for their efforts.

We can’t wait to see the Noble Family at all our upcoming functions!

Sincerely,
Ghadeer Abbasi
